Water transfer during rain

Assumption is that rain events need to prevent / skip watering.


I have one requirement that is the opposite where if it has rained more than 5mm, i want to use my watering system to pump water for about 15 minutes from my 100,000 litre water tank to a 12,000 litre holding tank that I use for gravity fed gardens. 


Is there a way?

Whisperer plant sensor, not showing up in app

I have tried to access my whisperer plants sensors, but they do not show up in the Netro app. What do I need to do to rectify this?

Door came off the unit

The door came off my spark 8 unit.  This made the electronics tape disengage from the base. How do I reattach that tape back into the slot.  I tried by hand but it seems impossible without detaching the motherboard and making more problems

API Error 4 - even with the example Device key

We are using your API example, where ABCDEFG is the device key.
Using this example, we're getting the following error returned: {"status":"ERROR","meta":{"time":"2025-01-23T10:15:30","tid":"1737627330_uXNP","version":"1.0","token_limit":2000,"token_remaining":1993,"last_active":"2025-01-23T10:15:30","token_reset":"2025-01-24T00:00:00"},"errors":[{"code":4,"message":"Invalid sensor","params":{}}]}, 


It is the same when we use the actual device keys for our Sprite and Whisperers 2.


Could you please help understanding why we're getting the error number 4 "invalid sensor"?

Random intermittently watering

Sprite controller cycles on and off wifi

My Netro controller is about three years old. I recently changed my Wi-Fi router about two months ago.  I repaired the controller with the new Wi-Fi, all seemed to work for a few days. Then the controller started cycling on and off of Wi-Fi. There are windows of several minutes that I can communicate with the controller, then windows of several hours when I cannot.  The light on the controller is solid for about 20 seconds, then three slow blinks, solid for 20 seconds, then three slow blanks, this pattern continues indefinitely. I have repaired the controller to WiFi several times. I have unplugged and then plugged the controller back in multiple times. Nothing seems to resolve the issue. It’s frustrating when I’m changing sprinkler heads and have to wait several hours to try a manual run to test the new heads. Has anyone else experience this and more importantly solved this issue? Thanks for the help!

Why is connection lost with my cover on. But when I take it off it then reconnects? My lawn once again looks like crap because this thing glitches out.

Zine will not run

I changed the sprinkler head on zone 5 after installing the new controller. All zones work but 5. I can run it manually. It won’t work on smart watering.

Zone won't shut off.

Hi,


I have 4 zones and a master valve. When I run any of the zones, they won't shut off when the timer runs out. If I switch the AC power off, then the valve will shut. I have checked the valve and it has no issue with opening and closing except when the sprite is running it. I tested cables for continuity, and I have tried swapping cables with no change. My ac power pack is AC 24v.


This issue affects each of the valves but only when controlled via the sprite. The valves are fully operational otherwise.


Hoping for a fix, otherwise will return to Amazon under warranty and get another brand.

Netro Spark valve testing

How does the Spark test the valves?


I want to connect a 24V input sensor on the spark outlet channels to switch 2 knx connect valves in different location. Cabling to those valves is to long for 24V. 
The valve testing always says that there is not current and switch it off --> Do i need a resistor on the outlet to simulate a valve? If yes, which value should the resistor have?

Solenoid does not switch off

My system has 5 solenoids.  All worked fine until recently.  One will turn on and off manually.  


However in smart timer it turns in but not off.  


How can I confirm if a app set up issue or a hardware issue with solenoid itself.

Netro Pixie - Winter ❄️ Is coming

Hi,

I have a Netro Pixie  and I was wondering if it's safe to leave it outside in the garden during the winter. The temperatures here in North of Italy can drop as low as -5°C (23°F).

Is it okay for the unit to handle these conditions, or would it be better to move it indoors to avoid any potential damage? In any case is not expected to perform any watering activity until Spring time.

Manual operation won’t come on

I live in Conroe, TX and I cannot get the manual operation to come on. I’m supposed to water every 2 weeks during the winter months if I have not had rain. No rain in over 2 weeks so I need to turn it on. I do not have anything programmed right now. Any suggestions?

Sprite / Spark and Flume

I have a Flume on my master water meter.

Is anyone familiar with any integration between Sprite/Spark and Flume?


Thinking of scenarios like:

If Flume water is already in use heavily (can be defined) then delay watering

Logic between Flume and either Metro to help with faulty valve / leak detection based on water (augmenting Spark's*)

If Flume detects water is shut off, don't run any Netro programs


* I read in Wency's reply at (https://netrohome.com/en/forum/posts/3479/show_question) that 

"The faulty valve detection relies on monitoring the voltage and current of the water valve's operational state. As for measuring the volume of water consumed, it's a consideration for future developments."

Netro Spark problem

This morning my 16 zone Spark unit was showing a red LED.

The app said it was online but when I tried to manually water a zone, it just said "connecting" for the duration with nothing happening outside.

Our wifi was running as normal and the room with the controller in had a good signal.

Unplugging and plugging back in solved the problem but it doesn't leave me with much confidence of the unit if it's going to do this at a critical time of year without being noticed.

Is there a reliability issue with the latest firmware?
